How Much Does a Water Softener Cost?

Wondering how much a water softener system costs? Are you thinking it’s upwards of $5000?

You can get a system at a “Big Box” store for between $600 to $1000.  That doesn’t include installation, which usually costs another $500 to $800 .  So let’s call that $1500 all in.

We’ve found these systems are lasting customers only 2 to 4 years before having issues where we need to go out and service them.

Some of the larger water softener companies charge between $2500 upward to $8000 for a water softening system.  They often oversize the system because customers are not educated on “Bigger is not Better” when it comes to water softeners. Consumers get roped into buying way more than they need. This results in having an oversized system, wasting your money and water.   We don’t want that to happen to you.

Here at Water Treatment Technologies, we properly size our water softeners for the home’s size and the number of residents. We’ll walk you through our recommendations so you understand what your getting for the price you’re paying.

Our systems currently run between $2110.00 and $2760.00 depending on the home’s needs and we use high-quality, well-known brands. Our pricing DOES include installation by our certified water softener technicians.  

Our systems are built to last 15 to 20 years with proper maintenance. If a larger system is needed, we price that out as needed for our customer. 

We build these systems to work well in the Arizona heat, so you’re not getting a generic water softening system.  Although we are not the cheapest, our pricing includes a better quality product than the Big Box stores and installation by a Water Quality Association Certified Installer.
